Thank you for your time and interest in our weaving here in Australia. At Studio Artes in Sydney we have been going for 18 months. We have 56 art students and tainess altogether, over 4 days per week. The workers are mainly voluntary. So far about 6 of our Students have learnt to weave. SueByatt is teaching Saori weaving. Jeremy Swales learnt Saori weavig from
representatives who did workshops in Sydney in 1998 and from workshop inL.A. at the very Special Arts Festival.

Recently we held our first art exhibition called "the journey........ from the beginning. It was opened by Ken Done, a very famous Australian painter. We sold 84 paintings and Jeremy and Sue Sold 6 pieces of Saori weaving. It was an excellent exhibition. Each artist wrote a personal profile and these were printed into a book. We had representatives from the government, local council, service clubs such as Rotary, local schools and many people fromour community. We have certainly raised the awareness for our community towards us. We have certainly let them know that we are here.
